Welcome to the 8th Annual No-Dig Golf Classic!  (Back To Top)

Riverwalk Golf Club is a 27-hole championship golf course with world class tournament services.  Conveniently located in MissionValley, Riverwalk is just minutes from Sea World, the world famous San Diego Zoo and the beautiful beaches of Southern California.

Where Legends are made…

Steeped in a rich tradition of golf legends past, Riverwalk Golf Club offers a classic golfing experience like no other. Formerly known as the Stardust Country Club, the course entertained a myriad of golf's legends while hosting the PGA tour during the 50s and 60s. Now, golfers will once again be treated to the challenge and drama of the original course at the newly reborn Riverwalk.

What was once flat now features undulating fairways, waterfalls and well-protected bentgrass greens. Water comes into play on 13 of the 27 holes with a spectacular waterfall surrounding the green of the signature hole. The San Diego River is a prominent feature of the layout, contributing to the beauty and challenge of the course.

Interesting Facts About Riverwalk Golf Club

Ted Robinson and Ted Robinson Jr. designed this 27 Hole Championship Course on 202 acres, featuring undulating fairways, waterfalls and well protected bentgrass greens.  The San Diego River and one of the four new lakes come into play at 13 of the 27 holes.

There are three distinct nine hole courses each challenging for the low handicap player and yet fair for the mid to high handicap player.  The Mission and Presidio course play south of the San Diego Trolley tracks and cross the San Diego River.  The Friars course plays between the trolley tracks and Friars road. Riverwalk has a total of 98 bunkers.

There are two pinned arch bridges that span the San Diego River.  The bridge adjacent to the clubhouse, which is used by golfers as they play numbers one and nine Mission, is 170 linear feet long, the longest spanning bridge on any golf course in the world.

ISTT Pressure Pipe Design Course: The Rehabilitation of Pressure Pipelines Using Trenchless Renovation Technologies - Key Design and Selection Issues  (Back To Top)

This course will be of interest to engineers in city utilities and their consultants who face the challenge of managing and renewing aging pressure pipeline networks. Although the course will be relevant to all types of pressure pipe, the primary focus will be on water mains. The course will include a review of trenchless technologies for new installation and replacement (micro tunneling, HDD, pipe bursting, etc.) but the majority of the content is concerned with rehabilitation techniques which utilize the existing pipe as part of the solution. The course will include techniques new to North American markets and will seek to determine a common basis for comparing performance attributes. These techniques will be covered in detail to enable delegates to make an informed evaluation of their likely potential. Each section of the course will review current US and international best practices and identify and discuss key issues. The course will be fully interactive. Attendees will be asked to respond to a series of questions and to participate in an open forum. Dr. Declan Downey (Vice President, ISTT) and Dr. John Heavens (Technical Secretary,ISTT). The ISTT will also invite a number of experts from local utilities and the trenchless industry to participate in the group discussions and forum.

NASSCO Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (Day 1)  (Back To Top)

New this year at No-Dig, the NASSCO Pipeline Assessment and Certification Program (PACP) will expand from two days to three full days of instruction to include a one-day Manhole Assessment and Certification Program (MACP).

The three-day training will result in PACP/MACP Certification. Students may elect to take the PACP training only. Administered by NASSCO, these two assessment and certification programs will demonstrate to municipalities, engineers and contractors the benefits and impact of PACP/MACP, which provides standardization for the inspection industry. The reliability of a sewer collection system to convey wastewater depends on the structural condition of the sewer pipe and manhole structures. Currently no standards exist in the United States for the evaluation, coding and exchange of data for the inspection of wastewater collection systems. The PACP/MACP provides training and certification of operators, technicians, and engineers on understanding and implementing the PACP/MACP coding system. The course will also provide a review of the history of defect coding and asset management, discussion of technical issues that affect the rate of deterioration and instructions on implementation of the PACP/MACP grading system.
